Basmati Rice – 2 cup

Ghee – ¼ cup

Coconut milk – ½ cup

Cinnamon – 1

Cloves – 1

Vazhanaila – 2

Cardamom – 1

Cumin seed – 1 tea spoon

Method of preparation

Heat ghee on a pan and add cumin seed, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom , vazhanaila, and fry. Add the cleaned rice into it and mix well. Transfer this mixed content into the pressure cooker. Add the coconut milk, salt into it and stir well. Also add required water into it. Then close the pressure cooker and cook it till the rice get finely cooked. In the normal case one or two whistles will be enough. Remove the rice from the flames and decorate with the fried cashew nuts, raisins and coriander leaves. Ghee Rice is ready to serve.
