Lemon Rice

Lemon Rice


Basmati rice – 1 cup.
Lemon – 1 no.
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.
Fenugreek roasted and powdered – 1 pinch
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp.
Red dry chilly – 2 nos.
Black gram (pealed) – ½ tsp.
Refined oil / ghee – 2 tsp.
Curry leaf – a few pieces.
Salt – as needed
Ginger – 1 small piece


Cook the rice. ( Basmati / Ponni / Raw ). Rice shall be cooked in such a way that they don’t become sticky. Heat up a frying pan, pour a little ghee / oil and put mustard seeds, black gram, and red chilly into it. When mustard seeds start breaking add curry leaf, crushed ginger, fenugreek and turmeric. Now add salt and lemon juice into this. Stir well and put the entire rice into the pan. Mix well. Now your lemon rice is ready to eat. That’s it !!!!
