Basmati Rice – 1 ½ cup
Green peas – 1/ cup
Cloves – 4
Cinnamon – small piece
Vazhanaila – 1
Onion – 1
Green chillies slit – 3
Ginger – garlic paste – ¾ tea spoon
Sugar – one pinch
Pudina (mint ) leaves chopped – ¼ cup
Water – 2 ½ cup
Salt – as required
Ghee – 1 table spoon
Oil – ½ table spoon

Method of preparation

Take a pressure cooker. Heat the oil and ghee in it. add cloves, vazhanaila into it and saute. Later add onion, green chillies into it and saute. Then add ginger garlic paste and saute for three minutes. Add Green peas, salt, sugar into it and mix. Then add the cleaned rice into it and stir it for two minutes. Pour water and boil it in low flame. Cook it by closing the lid. After fifteen minutes, when the rice and green peas gets cooked spread the pudina (mint) leaves and can serve.
