Elephant Yam – 400 gram
Onion – 1 big
Garlic – 2 tea spoon
Grated coconut – ¼ cup
Curry leaves – 1 strip
Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
Garam masala – ¼ tea spoon
Dried chilly – 2
Salt, oil and mustard seeds – as required

Method of preparation

Take Chena ( Elephant Yam) and cut it into very thin pieces. add little salt, turmeric powder into it and cook it. while cooking be careful it is not getting smashed. Crush the onion, garlic and pepper . take a pan. Add oil and heat. Add mustard seed, dried chilly, curry leaves into it and roast. Later add the crushed mixture into it and mix and roast well. When the raw smell goes add turmeric powder, grated coconut and roast. After that add the cooked elephant yam, required salt, garam masala and mix. Keep the dish in the stove for 3-4 minutes more by closing the lid. Then open the lid and mix well. Make it to get dry. Chena ( Elephant Yam) Pepper fry is ready.
