Ayila ( cleaned and cut) – 5 nos
Onion – 2 nos
Ginger / garlic paste – 1 spoon each
Green chillies paste – 1 spoon
Curry leaves – 2 strip
Coconut oil – 2 spoon
Turmeric powder – ½ spoon
Coriander powder – ¼ spoon
Mustard seed – as required
Fenugreek seed – ¼ spoon
Kudampuli – 2
Salt – As required

Method of preparation

Heat the mud vessel and add 2 spoon of coconut oil and add mustard seed and allow it to splutter. Add the onion and saute. Add ginger garlic paste and then again saute. Add chilly powder, turmeric powder , coriander powder and salt and fry it for some more time. Add the required water and boil it. While boiling add the kudampuli and allow it to boil it again. Then add the cleaned ayila pieces and when it get thickens add the fenugreek powder and remove it from the flames. Can add the curry leaves and green chillies. The curry is ready to serve.
