Chicken – ½ kilo cut into medium size pieces
Kurriveppila – 7 strips
Grated Coconut – 1 cup
Cumin seed – 1 tea spoon
Pepper powder – 1 ½ tea spoon
Shallots – one cup 9 ( chopped into very small pieces)
Garlic / Ginger paste – 1 spoon
Green chilly – 2 nos ( cut small pieces)
Tomato – 1 ( finely chopped)
Chilly powder – 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
Coriander powder – 1 tea spoon
Salt / Oil as required

Method of preparation
Clean the chicken pieces, add chilly powder , turmeric powder, coriander powder, and required salt and cook the chicken pieces. Fry the curry leaves in oil and keep it aside. In the same oil fry the grated coconut. Cumin seed and pepper. Don’t make it over fried. Grind the fried coconut and fried curry leaves to make a fine paste.

Heat oil in a pan , add ginger, garlic and fry . then add tomato, green chilly and sauté Then add the water of the cooked chicken and cook it by closing the lid. When the water get drained add the prepared coconut paste , the cooked chicken pieces and required salt and allow it to boil for two minutes . On getting boiled you can remove from the stove and can serve.
