Ingredients

1.Puzhukkalari – 3 cup
2.Sugar – 41/2 cup
3.Maida flour – 1 ½ cup
4.Sesame seed – 2 tea spoon
5.Cardamom powder – 1 tea spoon
6.Sauf – one pinch
7.Coconut oil – as required

Method of preparation

Soak the puzhukkalari in water for one whole night. In the morning grind the cleaned and soaked rice and make paste.add sugar and maida into it and knead it. Add cardamom powder, sesame seed, sauf and mix. keep this mix aside for one and half hours. When the sugar gets dissolved and becomes syrup suitable for neyyamppam and mix it . Heat the coconut oil and when it get boiled pour one spoon of batter into the oil and fry. Fry both the sides.
