Dates ( seed less) – 250 gram
Soda powder – 1 tea spoon
Boiled water -1 ½ cup
Butter – 125 gram
Brown sugar – 1 cup
Vanilla essence – 1 tea spoon
Egg – 2
Maida – 1 ¾ cup
Baking powder – 1 tea spoon
( mid the maida and baking powder together and filter it)
Caramel sauce
Fresh cream – 300 milli
Vanilla essence – ½ tea spoon
Butter – 60 gram

Method of preparation

Pre heat the oven in 180 degree centigrade. Take the dates in a bowl and put the soda powder above it. Pour the hot water into it and keep it aside for half an hour. Beat the butter, brown sugar and vanilla essence . then add the egg one by one into it and beat it again. Add maida and dates and mix. crease a cake dish and spread the butter paper. Pour the prepared mix into it. Bake it for almost 40 minutes (till it becomes solid). When it get cooled transfer it into a plate.

Take all the ingredients for the sauce and mix it in a sauce pan. Heat it to prepare sauce. Keep the stove in a low flame till the sauce get boiled. Also stir continuously . boil it for two minutes and later remove from the flames. Make a small holes in the pudding by using knife. Pour half cup of sauce into it. Keep it for ten minutes. Cut it and serve it with the remaining sauce.
