Maida – 1 cup
Almond – 200gm
Butter – 175gm
Orange skin – little
Sugar – 3/4 cup
Egg – 3
Baking powder – 3/4 tbsp
Vanilla essence – 3/4 tbsp
Orange juice – 1 cup

Remove the skin of the almond by boiling it in hot water for 2 minutes and then putting in cold water. Beat well the butter, powdered sugar and the orange skin well. Add the eggs one by one and beat well. Add 2 cup of soaked sulthana and 3/4 cup orange juice to this. Add baking powder and maida to this slowly. Add vanilla essence and mix well the batter. Pour this batter to a ring shaped mould. Place the almond o n top of it. Just place it lightly and do not press. If pressed the almond will go inside when the cake raises when baked. Place this cake tin in the oven and bake for 1 1/2 hours in 150 degrees. The top part should be golden brown in colour. Add 5 tbsp of orange marmalede or any jam in a saucepan and melt it. Using a brush , brush this glazing mixture on top of the cake.
