Maida – 1 tea spoon
Baking powder – one pinch
Corn flour – ½ cup
Cardamom powder – one pinch
Rose water – 1 tea spoon

First of all prepare the Sugar Syrup. Dissolve the sugar in 1 ½ cup of boiled water. Add rose water and cardamom powder and boil the syrup for some more time in a low flame.
Make a mixture of the baking powder and maida. Along with this add the milk powder, corn flour and soda powder and make a dough by sprinkling water. When the dough get sticky add the ghee to make it more soft. The dough should be soft. Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll them into round balls. Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Put the gulab jamuns in the oil in the frying pan and fry. While frying keep rolling the gulab jamuns around so they are evenly browned. Fry until it becomes brown colour. Allow the fried jamuns to cool off for a few minutes before placing in the syrup. After placing in the syrup boil it again in a low flame and gulab jamuns are ready to serve.
