

Andhra Biriyani
Ingredients:
Chicken – 1kg
Basmati Rice – 1kg
Coconut Oil – 250ml
Big Onion – 1kg (sliced thin)
Green chilies – 15nos. (cut in two pieces)
Cinnamon – 5g
Cardamom – 5g
Cloves – 5g
Ginger / Garlic – 1 tsp. (paste)
Tomato – 500g (chopped)
Curd – 1 cup (blended)
Salt – to taste
Water – 2 liter
Preparation
Make the chicken into small pieces. Wash rice and soak for half an hour. Drain and set aside. Heat the oil in a vessel and put the sliced onion and fry. While getting fried add the green chilies, cinnamon, cardamom and gloves and saute well till it become light brown colour. Then add garlic / ginger paste and chopped tomatoes and fry for some time. Put the chicken pieces and curd as required / Close the lid tightly. Again cook in low flame. Once you get the first whistle switch off the stove. After some time you can open the cooker and put the contents into another vessel. Biriyani is ready to serve.
