Vellarikka – chopped
Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
Chilly powder – ¼ tea spoon
Fenugreek powder – ¼ tea spoon
Cumin powder – ¼ tea spoon
Ginger – chopped into small pieces – ½ inch piece
Salt – as required
Coconut – ½ cup
Green chilly – 3no
Shallots – 2 no
Curd – 1 cup
Mustard seed
Red chilly – 2 no
Curry leaves – as required

Method of preparation

Cook the chopped vellarikka, by adding turmeric powder, chilly powder, fenugreek powder, cumin powder, ginger and required salt. Grind the green chilly and coconut into thick paste. Add the curd into the grinded paste. Add the grinded paste and required water into the cooked vellarikka. Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seed. Add this to the cooked vellarikka. Also add the curry leaves. Vellarikka moru curry is ready.
