Potato – 4 (peel off the skin and cut into pieces)
Onion – 1
Coconut – ½ portion – ¼ cup
Chilly powder – 1 spoon,
Green chilly – 3
Cumin seed – one pinch
Garlic – 1 clove
Garam masala – 1 ½ spoon
Turmeric powder – ¼ spoon
Salt – as required
Curry leaves
Mustard seed

Method of preparation

Cut the onion and potato into small pieces. Clean it and add required water, turmeric powder and cook. Take coconut, chilly powder, cumin seed, garlic garam masala powder and crush it . add the crushed paste into the cooked potato. When the vegetables get half cooked add salt into it. take a frying pan . add oil and heat. Add mustard seed and allow it to splutter. Then add the curry leaves . following that add the cooked vegetables and mix. Then allow to boil. When the water gets drained add the prepared paste and mix. Keep the flame in low and stir. When the water completely drains out . take out from the stove . thoran is ready to serve.
