
Ingredients
Coconut – ½ cup
Tomato – 3
Onion – 2
Ginger – 1 piece
Garlic – 2 cloves
Dried chilly – 3-4
Kadala parippu ( Bengal gram) – 2 table spoon
Uzhunnu parippu ( black gram) – 1 table spoon
Curry leaves
Mustard seed
Coconut oil
Salt
Method of preparation
Take a pan. Boil the coconut oil and add mustard seed, uzhunnuparippu, kadalaparippu, curry leaves and fry. Add ginger, garlic, chilly, onion into it and mix.
After some time add tomato into it and mix. And after some time add grated coconut and mix. When this gets fried remove it from the stove.
On getting cooled, add required water, salt into it and grind it to make a paste.
Heat coconut oil in a pan add mustard seed, curry leaves and sauté and then add this mixture into the chutney and mix. Tomato coconut chutney is ready to serve.
