Pineapple Erissery


Pineapple – 1 no.
Dry Chilli – 4 nos
Cumin Seed – 1 tsp
Pepper, Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Coconut Grinded – ½ cup
Salt – to taste
Urud dal – 1 tsp
Mustard Seed – ¼ tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Curry leaves


Peel off the skin of Pineapple and cut it large. Add Turmeric powder and water and cook well. Take one spoon of grated coconut and keep it aside. In the remaining coconut add cumin seed, dry chillies, pepper and grind well. Pour the grinded mix in to it and boil again for some time. Take a pan and fry the mustard seed, curry leaves and the one tsp of coconut and add in to the pineapple. Erissery is ready.
