Papaya (ripen)
Grated coconut
Coriander leaves
Chilly powder,
Thuvar dal
Green chillies
Turmeric powder

Method of preparation

Take a medium ripen papaya and peel off the skin. Then cut into pieces. Take tamarind in the size of goose berry and soak it in water. On getting soaked take out only the juice. Fry 2 ½ spoon of grated coconut. Then fry 2 spoon of coriander and 3 chillies. Add 4 – 5 fenugreek seed and fry. When the fried items get cooled grind it to make paste. Then take 3 spoon of thuvar dal and cook.

Take a vessel, add tamarind juice , papaya, 3 slit green chillies, salt, turmeric powder and cook. On getting cooked add the cooked dal into it. Allow it to get boiled for some time and get mixed add coconut, hing powder and curry leaves. Heat oil and add mustard seed, curry leaves, and allow to splutter. Then add this into the papaya . Pazhutha papaya sambar is ready to serve
