Ingredients

Snake gourd ( padavalanga) – 300 gram
Shallots – 10
Coconut – 1 cup
Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
Chilly powder – ½ tea spoon
Salt – as required
Oil – as required
Dried chilly – 3
Cumin seed – ½ tea spoon
Garlic – 3
Curry leaves – as required

Method of preparation

Cut the snake gourd ( padavalanga) and shallots into small peices. Cook it by adding required salt and little water. Crush the grated coconut , garlic , cumin seed and turmeric powder. Allow the water to get completely drained from the vegetable. Add the crushed paste into the cooked padavalanga and mix. Then heat oil in a pan , add mustard seed and allow it splutter. Then add curry leaves and dried chilly and fry. Take out the fried mix and add it in the cooked vegetable and mix.
Can serve hot
