Onion – 100gm
Dal- 2 tbsp
Sambar powder – 2 tbsp
Tomato – 1
Green chilly – 3
Curry leaves – 1 strip
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tbsp

Cook dal with salt and turmeric powder in water. Add oil in a pan, add mustard. When the mustard splutters add curry leaves. Add onion, green chilly and tomato and saute well. Add sambar powder to this mixed in water. Add the cooked dal to this, add some water and cook well for 2 minutes.
