Cherupayar ( soaked in water for one whole night) – 1 cup
Onion chopped – 2 nos
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Green chilly – 2 no
Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
Ginger – one small
Garlic – 4 cloves
Mustard seed – ¼ tea spoon
Curry leaves – 2 strip
Salt – as required
Coconut oil – 1 table spoon

Method of preparation

Cook the soaked cheruparyar by adding water and salt. After twenty minutes remove from the stove. Grind ginger, garlic , green chilly in a mixer and make a paste. Take a pan heat oil and add mustard seed, curry leaves, onion into it and saute. Add the prepared paste into it. After four minutes add cooked cherupayar, turmeric powder, and grated coconut into it. After five minutes add the required salt and can serve.
