Brinjal – ½ kilo
Onion – 2
Bengal gram – 1 tea spoon
Coriander seed – 1 tea spoon
Dried chilly – 3
Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
Mustard seed – 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves

Method of preparation

Cut the brinjal into thin round pieces. Take a pan. Heat oil. Add Bengal gram, coriander seed, dried chilly and saute. When it gets cooled grind this into a fine paste. Then heat the pan. Heat oil and add mustard seed and make it to splutter. Then add curry leaves. Cut the onion in to long pieces and add into it. mix it and saute for some time. Add brinjal, salt, and mix. Later add turmeric powder, masala paste and mix.close the lid and cook it. if necessary add little water. When the brinjal gets cooked and the gravy gets thickened remove from the stove and serve hot
