Chena ( elephant yam) – 1 cup cut into small pieces
Nenthrakaya – 1 cup ( cut in to four pieces)
Curd – ½ cup
Coconut – 1 half ( grated)
Green chilly – 2
Turmeric powder – ½ spoon
Pepper powder – 1 spoon
Cumin seed – 1 spoon
Curry leaves
Kola mulaku
Coconut oi;
Mustard seed

Method of preparation

Take chena, nenthrakaya and cook it by adding salt, turmeric powder and pepper powder. Add curd into it and drain out boil till the gravy gets thickened.
Grind coconut, cumin seed, and green chilly adding little water and make paste.
Add this paste into the cooked vegetables and stir well and boil it till the gravy get thickened. Should not get over cooked.
Heat coconut oil . add mustard seed, fenugreek seed, kollamulaku, curry leaves into it and fry. Then add this fried mix into the curry. Kuruku kalan is ready.
