Ingredients

1. Kovakka ( Ivy Gourd) – ½ Kilo – cut into four long and thin
2. Kasuvandi (cashew nut) – ½ cup
3. Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
Chilly powder – ½ tea spoon
Coriander powder – ½ tea spoon
4. Green chilly – 2 ( slit)
5. Mustard seed – ½ tea spoon
6. Dried chilly – 2
7. Salt – as required
8. Coconut oil – 1 table spoon

Method of preparation

1. Clean the cashew nut (kasuvandi) and soak it in one cup of water for fifteen minutes.
2. Boil the kovakka (ivy gourd) by adding green chilly powder, turmeric powder , required salt, and one cup of water.
3. Take a thick bottom non stick pan. Add little oil . add mustard seed, dried chilly and splutter. Then add the boiled kovakka and mix well.
4. Then add the soaked cashew nut (kasuvandi) and mix. Then add chilly powder, coriander powder
5. Then cook it till the water gets drained in low flame.
6. Can serve hot.
