Karikadala – ½ cup
Onion ( medium sized) – 1
Dried chilly – 1
Hing – one pinch
Mustard seed – 1 pinch
Grated coconut – 2 table spoon
Lemon juice – of half lemon
Gingerly oil – ½ tea spoon
Curry leaves – 2 strip
Water – as required

Method of preparation

Soak the kadala for one whole night. Add salt, turmeric powder and little water into the soaked kadala and pressure cook. Take a pan. Pour gingerly oil and heat it. Add mustard seeds and allow to splutter. Add onion, dried chilly, curry leaves and hing and fry. Drain out the water completely from the cooked kadala and mix it with grated coconut. Then add the lemon juice and can serve . It is good to have during tea time.
