Kadachakka – cut into small pieces
Onion – 1 ( grated)
Coconut -1
Chilly powder – 1 spoon
Coriander powder – 2 spoon
Garam masala – 1 spoon
Fennel Seeds powder – ¼ spoon
Shallots – 5 nos
Turmeric powder – ¼ spoon
Curry leaves

Method of preparation

Remove the outer green skin of kadachkka and cut into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add grated coconut, shallots and roast for some time. When it gets half roasted add turmeric powder, chilly powder and coriander powder and roast. Grind the roasted coconut by adding garam masala and fennel seed powder. Add onion and required water and salt into the kadachakka and cook the same When the water get drained pour the coconut mix and mix well . Make sure it not getting over mixed. Heat oil in a pan and sputter the mustard seed and add it to the kadachakka. Mix well and keep it in low flame till the water gets drained completely. Kadachkka Thoran is ready to serve.
