Palak ( spinach) – chopped into very small pieces – 2 cup
Dal – 1 cup
Onion – chopped into small pieces – 1
Ginger – chopped into small pieces – 2 spoon
Garlic – cut into small pieces – 1 spoon
Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
Garam masala – ½ tea spoon
Green chilly – 3 or 4 nos
Cumin seed – crushed – 1 tea spoon
Oil – 2 tea spoon
Salt – as required

Method of preparation

Pressure Cook the dal by adding onion, ginger and garlic. Crush the cooked dal to become paste. Heat oil in a pan , add the turmeric powder, garam masala powder and fry . then add chopped palak, salt and green chilly and mix well. Then cook for five minutes by closing the lid. Then add the crushed dal into it and stir. You can remove it from the stove and can serve it along with chappathi.
