1.Podi Chembu – 10
2.Pepper – one table spoon
3.Urud dal ( black gram) – 1 small spoon
4.Dried chilly – 1
5.Hing – one small piece
6.Sesame seed – 1 table spoon
7.Turmeric powder – 1 spoon
8.Garlic – 4 cloves ( crushed)
9.Tamarind – lemon size
10.Curry leaves – one handful
11.Mustard seed – 1 spoon
12.Gingerly oil – ¼ cup
13.Salt – as required

Method of preparation
Peel the skin of the chembu. Take the ingredients from 2 to 5 and roast and powder it. Roast the sesame seed and powder it.Make sure the sesame seed is not getting over fried. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seed, curry leaves, turmeric powder. Take the juice of the tamarind and add into it. When it get boiled add the cooked chembu. Allow it to boil . while boiling add the roasted ingredients and later add salt. Then remove from the flames and add the sesame powder . Take a spoon of gingerly oil and fry the crushed shallots and pour into the curry.
