Rice flour – 4 cup
Black gram ( uzhunnu) – roasted and powdered – 1 cup
Salt – as required
Butter – 1 table spoon
Coconut milk – (as required to make dough)
Cumin seed – 1 table spoon
Pepper powder – 1 tea spoon
Oil – to fry

Method of preparation

Add rice flour and black gram powder together and mix. add pepper powder, cumin seed. Then add butter and mix. add the coconut milk and knead it to a soft dough by adding required water. Also add salt as required. The dough shouldn’t be too sticky nor hard, just soft and firm. Take the murukku mould and fit the required shape disc. Grease the murukku mould with little oil and fill it with some dough. Meanwhile heat oil in a kadai and directly press the dough into oil and fry. On getting cooled you can serve.
