Ingredients

1.Basmathi Rice – 1 Glass
2.Ghee – 75 gram
3.Onion ( chopped long ) – 100 gram
4.Cashew nut – 50 gram
5.Almonds – 50 gram
6.Poppy seeds – 25 gram
7.Raisins – 25 gram
8.Milk – 200 milli
9.Cinnamon stick – 1 , ginger piece – 5 nos,
10.Cloves – 6 nos
11.Saffron – 2 pinch
12.Rose water – 2 table spoon
13. Salt – required

Method of preparation

Soak the saffron in the rose water. Also soak the almonds, half portion of cashew nut in Hot water. Clean the rice and soak the rice for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes drain out the water. Heat ghee add the half of the chopped onions and fry and keep it aside. In the remaining ghee fry the half portion of the cashew nut, raisins, poppy seeds and keep it aside. Then in the same ghee fry the cinnamon stick and cloves. Then add the remaining onion and fry. When the onion gets cooked add one cup of water and one cup of milk and boil it. Also add required salt while boiling. Then add the soaked almonds , cashew nuts and cleaned rice into it and stir well. Then cook it in low flame by closing the lid . when the rice get cooked and water get drained completely remove from the stove and keep it aside for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes you you can transfer the content to the vessel you use to serve. Pour the diluted saffron rose water mix and decorate with fried cashew , onion , poppy seed, raisins and can serve.
