Ingredients

1. Brinjal (Vazhuthananga) – two
2. Chilly powder – half tablespoon
3. Turmeric powder – quarter teaspoon
4. Salt – as required
5. Prawns – five
6. Onion – one
7. Coriander leaves – two table spoon
8. Green Chilly – two
9. Basin (Kadala maavu) – one cup
10. Rice flour – one cup
11. Pepper powder – one teaspoon
12. Fennel powder – one teaspoon
13. Coconut oil – as required

Method

Slice the brinjal into thin round pieces and apply chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Grind together the prawns, onion, chilly and coriander leaves. Make batter of basin, rice flour, pepper, fennel, salt and water. Apply the prawn paste on brinjal piece, dip in batter and fry in oil.
