Rice (Unakal Ari) – 1/4 cup
Small Dal (Cheru parippu) – 1/2 cup
Jaggery – 300 gm
Coconut milk (First milk) – 1 cup
Coconut milk (Second milk) – 4 cup
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tbsp
Banana (Kadhali pazham) – 1
Honey – 1 tbsp

Fry the small dal in a heated pan and fry till the rawness goes.Add some water and cook this well. Cook the rice. Liquify the jaggery by adding some water. Add the cooked dal and rice to this. Add ghee. Add second milk and cardamom powder to this. Saute the banana in ghee by cutting it to small pieces. Add this to the payasam. Add a spoon of honey on top and close the lid. Serve after 10 minutes.
