Mutton – 1 kilo
Onion – ½ kilo
Potato – 2
Ginger paste – 3 tea spoon
Garlic paste – 3 tea spoon
Coriander powder – 3 table spoon
Green chilly – 8
Cloves – 3
Cinnamon – 2 pieces
Cardamom crushed – 4
Coconut milk – thick (onnam pal) – 2 cup
Medium thick (randam pal) – 2 cup
Thin milk (moonam pal) – 3 cup

Curry leaves – as required
Coconut oil – a required
Salt – As required

Method of preparation

Take a thick bottom pan. Pour oil and heat. add onions and fry. Later add ginger , garlic, green chillies ( cut long) and fry . when the raw smell goes off add coriander powder and mix. When the oil gets separated add the chopped potatoes, meat, cloves, cinnamon , cardamom, salt and stir well. Then add the thin coconut milk ( moonam pal) and half cook the same. Then add the medium thick milk (randam Pal) and cook. On getting cooked finally add the thick coconut milk ( onnam pal ) and heat it. Then remove from the flames and add the curry leaves. Keep it aside for some time by closing the lid. Mutton stew is ready. Can serve hot along with appam.
