1.Mathi – ½ kilo
2.Kumbalanga (cucumber) – 250 gram
3.Shallots – 10
Green chilly – 5
Ginger – small piece
Curry leaves – as require
4.Kudampuli – 4 piece
5.Chilly powder – 3 table spoon
Turmeric powder –1 tea spoon
Coriander powder – 1 ½ tea spoon
6. Salt – as required
7.Coconut oil – 3 table spoon
8.Water – required to cook the cucumber.

Method of preparation

Clean the fish and keep it aside. Clean the kudampuli and put it in water. Cut the cucumber(kumbalanga) into thin pieces. Take an earthern pot and add the chopped cucumber and marinate it with the ingredients from three to seven. Pour little water into the mixture and keep it in the stove. When the cucumber gets ¾ cooked add the mathi pieces into it. When the gravy gets thickened remove the curry from the stove and can serve. This curry can be served with hot rice.
