Prawns – ½ Kilo
The thick extract of tamarind – 2 tea spoon

Coconut Milk – 1 cup
Garlic – 4
Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
Garam masala powder – 1 tea spoon
Coriander leaves

For Masala

Grated coconut – ½ cup
Onion – 2
Coriander seed – 2 tea spoon
Fenugreek seed – ½ tea spoon
Fennel seed – ½ tea spoon
Cardamom – 2
Cinnamon – 1
Dried chilly — 2
Cloves – 2

Method of preparation

Remove the shell and clean the prawns. Add little salt and turmeric powder and marinate the prawns and keep it aside.
Take a pan , heat oil and add cinnamon, cardamom , shallots, coriander seed, fenugreek and fry. Add onion, grated coconut and fry it for some more time. On getting fried remove from the flames and keep it aside . After getting cooled add little water and grind it to make a paste.

Pour little oil in a pan heat it. Add the sliced garlic pieces and fr. Add the grinded paste. Then add coconut milk and mix. Add the marinated prawns and cook it. When the prawns get half cooked add the tamarind extract and masala powder and mix and again cook it. When the prawns get cooked and once the water get drained from the curry remove from the flames and can add the coriander leaves. The curry is ready to serve.
