1. Karemeen – 500 gram
2. Chilly powder – 1 tea spoon
3. Turmeric powder – 1 tea spoon
4. Shallots – 10 cloves
5. Grated coconut – ½ portion
6. Ginger – 500 gram
7. Garlic – 10 cloves
8. Green chilly – 6
9. Tomato – 2
10. Coconut oil – 100 gram
11. Mustard see, curry leaves, – in order to fry
12. Salt – as required

Method of preparation

Clean the karemeen and keep it aside. Take grated coconut, turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt into it along with little water and make a soft and fine paste. Take an earthen pot and heat. Add coconut oil and heat. Then add mustard seed and allow to splutter. Add curry leaves, ginger, garlic, green chilly, tomato, shallots and saute. When it starts to get good smell add the prepared paste into it. when it get boiled add the karemeen pieces into it and cook it by closing the lid of the vessel. When the gravy gets thickened, add the coconut oil and remove from the stove. Serve hot
