Cleaned Chemmeen ( prawns ) – ½ kg.

1. Shallots crushed – 200 gram
Ginger and garlic crushed – 1 tea spoon each
Green chilly slit – 5
Curry leaves – as required
Coconut oil – as required

2. Kashmir chilly Powder – 1 tea spoon
Coriander powder – 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder – 1 tea spoon
Pepper powder – 1 tea spoon

3. Tomato chopped – 1 medium
4. Salt – as required
Water – ½ cup

Method of preparation

Take the first mentioned ingredients and saute. Add the second mentioned ingredient into it and saute. Then add the tomato and again saute. When the oil gets cleared and get separated add the chemmeen and fry. You can add chilly powder based on the taste required by you. Slight spice is necessary . if you do not put spice then the prawns will have sweet taste. Finally you can add little coconut oil and fresh curry leaves and mix. Can mix and serve hot.
