Chemmen ( prawns) – 500 gram
Onion sliced to small pieces – 1
Green chilly split into two – 1
Coconut oil – 1 table spoon
Soaked tamarind – 5 gram
Capsicum – 1
Coconut milk – as required
Grinding
Coriander seeds – ½ table spoon
Cumin seeds – ½ tea spoon
Pepper – 6 nos
Garlic – one clove
Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
Grated coconut – 30 gram
Method of preparation
Clean the prawns thoroughly. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions. Add prawns and fry. Add grated coconut and masalas. Then add required water , tamarind , capsicum, green chilly, coconut milk and boil.
