Boiled crab flesh – 500 gram
Coconut oil – 3 table spoon
Shallots crushed – 250 gram
Ginger crushed – 1 tea spoon
Garlic crushed – 6 cloves
Coconut crushed – of half portion
Turmeric powder- ½ tea spoon
Pepeer powder – 1 tea spoon
Fennel seed powder – 1 tea spoon
Green chilly crushed – 3
Chilly powder – ½ tea spoon
Salt – as required
Mustard see, – ½ tea spoon
Curry leaves – 2 strand

Method of preparation

Clean the crab. Take little water . put the crab in the water. ( the water should cover the crab completely) and boil. Then break the shells and take out the flesh out of it.
Take a vessel (earthen pot would be better). Heat two table spoon of oil. Add the mustard seed and later add the crushed shallots and fry.
Following this add green chilly, garlic, ginger crushed, and fry. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, crushed coconut and mix well.
The add pepper powder, fennel seed powder, salt and close the lid for five minutes, then add one table spoon of coconut oil, curry leaves into it and can remove it from the stove. Crab thoran is ready. It will be kept for one day without getting spoiled
