
Ingredients
Chicken – 1 Kilo
Wheat – 2 cup
Onion – 3
Green gram ( cherupayar parippu) – ½ cup
Ginger paste – 2 tea spoon
Garlic paste – 2 tea spoon
Green chilly – 4
Chilly powder – 2 table spoon
Coriander powder – 2 table spoon
Turmeric powder – 1 tea spoon
Garam masala powder – 1 tea spoon
Pepper powder – 1 tea spoon
Cumin seed – ½ tea spoon
Cardamom – 2
Vayanaila ( bay leaf ) – 2
Lemon – 2
Coriander leaves & pudina (mint) leaves – little
Salt , oil – as required
Method of preparation
Clean the wheat and soak it in water . then cook it well. Soak the green peas ( cherupayar parippu) in water and cook. After that grind it to make paste.
Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger, garlic paste. Then add chopped green chilly, chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, pepper powder, cumin powder, cardamom powder, bay leaves (vayanaila) and fry. Add chicken pieces and mix. then add parippu paste. After that add the cooked wheat and mix well. Also add required salt and water. Close the lid and cook . when the chicken pieces remove it from the stove.
Take another pan and heat oil. Add chopped onion and fry it till it becomes brown colour. Add the fried onions above the chicken. Decorate also with chopped coriander leaves and pudina leaves . Also add little lemon juice. Can serve hot.
