Chemmen – ¾ kilo
Onion – 2
Coconut – 1 cup
Ginger – 1 piece
Garlic – 10
Karinjeerakam – ½ tea spoon
Green chilly – 10
Mango powder – 1 tea spoon
Garam masala – 1 tea spoon
Cumin powder – 1 tea spoon
Pudina leaves,
Coriander leaves

Method of preparation

Clean the chemmeen ( prawns). Heat oil in a pan. Add the prawns into it and fry it for some time in low flame and remove from the stove and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and saute. Then add garlic, ginger and then saute. Then add the grated coconut and mix. When it get fried keep this for cooling. Then grind it by adding little water. Grind Green Chilly, Pudina leaves, coriander leaves into thick paste. Take a pan and heat oil and fry the Karinjeerakam. Add the green chilly paste and saute for some time. Then add coconut – onion paste and mix. Then add dry mango powder, Garam masala, cumin powder and mix. Then add the prawns ( chemmeen ) into it and mix. Add required salt and cook
