Rice – 2 cup
Chicken – ¼ kilo
Onion – 2
Tomato – 1
Green chilly – 2
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – ½ tsp
Cumin seed – ½ tsp
Vayanaila / salt / Oil / Water & Coriander leaves

Method of preparation

Cut the chicken into small pieces and wash it thoroughly. Remove the water completely and rub it with turmeric powder and salt and keep it aside. Then wash the rice . Take a pressure pan and heat the oil . Add cumin seed and allow to splutter and add vayanaila . Then add the chopped onion and fry it till it become transparent. Add the green chilly, masala powder, required salt and tomatoes and fry for a bit. After that add the chicken pieces into the mixed masala and fry it . After some time add rice and stir all the while. Mix this well and then add the water. Cover the pan and wait till the water gets dried up and the rice is cooked. It would be enough to have two whistles in the pressure pan. Chop the coriander leaves and add to the cooked pulao
