
Ingredients
1.Chicken – 8 pieces,
2.Vegetable oil – ¼ cup
3.Onion – 2 (chopped)
4.Tomato puri – ½ cup
5.Chopped tomato – 2
6.Garlic chopped – 4 cloves
7.Carrot grated – 2
8.Orange skin – 10 gram
9.Cloves – 4
10.Cinnamon – 3 piece
11.Cardamom – 4
12.Basmati rice – 1 kilo
13.Raisins – ¼ cup
14.Almonds (chopped) – ¼ cup
15.Pepper – as required
16.Salt – as required
Method of preparation
Take a frying pan, Chop the onions and fry it till it becomes brown colour. then add chicken pieces, tomato puri, chopped tomato, garlic and cook it for five minutes in the low flame. Then add 3 cups of hot water, grated carrot, orange juice, cardamom, cinnamon, orange skin, cloves, salt and pepper . cook it for twenty five minutes i.e till the chicken gets cooked in low flame. Then transfer the chicken into another vessel. Chicken should be kept hot. Cook the rice in the same vessel for 35 – 40 minutes in low flame. When the water gets drained out remove from the stove.
Spread the earlier prepared chicken on top of the cooked rice. Then decorate it with raisins, and almonds(badam) and can serve
