Ingredients

Rice Flour – 1 Kilo
Carrot – 100 garam
Beet root – 100 gram
Coconut – 2
Spinach – 1 cup
Salt – As required

Method of preparation

Grate the carrot and Beet root in a chipper. Chop the spinach into very small pieces. Also grate the coconut. Mix the grated carrot, beet root and spinach with the rice flour . Add water and salt into the flour and mix it thoroughly with hand. It should be bread crumb consistency and not form a dough. In a puttu making vessel , water in the bottom of the vessel . Place 1 layer of grated coconut at the bottom of the puttu maker. Carefully and slowly fill the vegetable mixed Puttu powder then followed by another layer of grated coconut. Repeat the process in between. Then steam and cook it for some time. Vegetable Puttu is ready. Poke out the vegetable layered steam cake and serve .

Note : Instead of using the puttu maker you can use the outer shell of the coconut to make puttu.
If you are making the puttu in the outer shell, Then put the grated coconut only at the bottom and top .
