Ingredients

1.Van Payar – ¾ cup
2.Chena (elephant yam) – 150 gram
Kachil – 200 gram
Valiya chembu – 1
Madhura kizhangu (sweet potato) – 2
Ethakaya – 1
Koorka ( big ) – 6 nos
3.Chilly powder – 1 ½ table spoon
salt – as required
turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
4.Coconut ( grated – 1
Green chilly – 4
cumin seed – ½ tea spoon
5.Coconut oil – 3 table spoon
Curry leaves – 2 strip
6.Water – as required

Method of preparation

Soak the payar in water and cook. Take all the second mentioned ingredients , peel off the skin and cut into big pieces. cook the same by adding required water , salt . chilly powder and turmeric powder. Then grind the fourth mentioned ingredients into paste. ( grind it to medium pace). Add the payar and prepared paste into the curry and still well to mix. then add coconut oil and curry leaves and mix.
