Plantain – 2
Rice Powder – 1 cup
Coconut grated – 1 half
Coconut milk – 1/2 cup
Jeera – a pinch
Cardamom – 1
Salt – as needed
Sugar – 6 – 7 tbsp

Grind well coconut, jeera and cardamom. Add this to the rice powder along with coconut milk or warm water and make a dough quite thicker than that for Appam. Add salt and sugar and mix well. Add the plantains cut to small pieces to this and mix. Pour this mixture to a pan where butter has been brushed and then cook in steam. When cooked, move to another dish and when cooled, cut and use.
