Muthira ( Horse Gram) – 1 cup
Dried Chilly – 5 nos ( cut into small pieces)
Cooking Oil – 1 tea spoon
Salt – to taste
Grated coconut – 2 table spoon

Method of preparation

Soak the muthira ( Horse Gram) for the whole night. In the morning grind it to make a batter. Add dried chilly and grated coconut into the Add the coconut oil ad keep the batter in the room temperature till evening to ferment. When it get fermented properly Grease the idli mould with oil and fill it with idli batter. Boil some water in the idli steamer, when water start boiling put the idli stand in the steamer and cook the same by steaming it . remove it from the flame and take out the idli from the steamer and scoop out the idlis. Can serve with chutney.
