Urud Dal ( Black gram) – ¼ cup
Rice – ½ cup
Bengal Gram ( kadala parippu) – ¼ tea spoon
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Curd – ¾ cup
Cashew nut – 100 gram
Ginger – ¼ tea spoon
Green chilly – 2
Pepper powder – ½ tea spoon
Curry leaves

Method of preparation

Clean the urud dal and rice and soak it together. Grind well to make a soft batter. Keep the batter aside to get fermented. Then soak the Bengal gram in water and and later add curd, cashew nut, pepper powder, grated coconut, green chilly, ginger, curry leaves, ghee
Into it and make a paste by grinding it. When the rice batter gets fermented add the prepared paste into it and mix well. add required salt. Take the idli maker and pour the idli batter into it and steam it to make idlis.
