Urud dal ( black gram – ¼ cup
Rice – ½ cup
Bengal gram ( kadala parippu) – ¼ tea spoon
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Curd – ¾ cup
Cashew nut – 100 gram
Ginger – ¼ tea spoon
Green chilly – 2
Pepper powder – ½ tea spoon
Curry leaves

Method of preparation

Clean the rice and urud dal and soak together. Grind this and make a fine batter. Then keep this batter to get fermented. Soak the kadala parippu in water. Later add curd, cashew nut, pepper powder, coconut, green chilly, ginger, curry leaves, ghee and grind it and make a paste. Later add this paste into the fermented batter. Also add required salt into it. then pour the batter in the Idli maker and make idlis.
