Ingredients

Tender coconut ( Ilaneer) – 1
Rice (pachari ) – 1 tea cup
Sugar – 2 table spoon
Cardamom powder – ½ tea spoon
Salt – as required
Water – as required

Method of preparation

Clean the rice and soak it in water for four hours, Grind the tender coconut and tender coconut water in a mixer . add sugar and grind again. Then add the soaked rice into the mixture and grind it to make a batter. If required you can add water also. The batter should be made as loose as dosa batter. . keep the batter aside for 6 – 7 hours without disturbing it.

Then add required salt, cardamom powder and mix it. Keep it aside for 15 minutes. Heat the appam tawa in the stove and grease the tawa with some oil. Then pour one spoon of batter in the middle of the tawa and spread little to make like appams. Then close it with a lid for one minute. After one minute you can open the lid and take out the appam. Ready to serve
