Idli – crushed – 1cup
Onion – finely chopped – 1
Green chilly finely chopped – 2-3
Ginger finely chopped – 1 small piece
Curry leaves – 1 strip
Mustard seed – ½ spoon
Urud dal – ½ spoon
Dried chilly – 2,3
Salt – as required

Method of preparation

Make idli into very small pieces and smash / crush slightly in a mixer and keep it aside. It should not become fine paste. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed allow to crackle. Then add dried chillies , urud dal accordingly and roast. Then add finely chopped onion , green chillies, ginger and curry leaves and saute well. sparkle. Then add the smashed / crushed idli and required salt and mix well. Idli upma ready to serve.
