Ingredients
Rice flour – 2 cup
Salt – to taste
Cocounut (grated) 1 cup
Oil

Method of preparation
Boil little water in a vessel and add the salt and oil into it. Pour this boiled water into the rice flour and mix well to make it a soft dough. Boil water in the Idiappam vessel. Sprinkle some coconut over the tray or plate you are going to steam the idiappam . Put the dough in a mould and press into the tray of banana leaf. Make sure that it is not too thick. Place on the steamer and steam it for some time. Tasty idiappam is ready.
